Girl Meets World?

Reminiscing on the past, I was remembering what kind of shows I loved to watch while growing up. Some in particular that come to mind are the following, Hey Arnold, Growing Pains, The Nanny, but one of my most favorite from my childhood is Boy Meets World.

Everyone knew that Cory and Toganga were supposed to get married. They were the couple that everyone looked up to. Well! Word has it that the original creator of Boy Meets World, Michael Jacobs, signed a deal with Disney to make a spinoff called, Girl Meets World, which would center around the life of a teenage girl. Talk even has it that Cory and Toganga, (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel) may return to fill the roll of the teenager's parents. 

I think this sounds like a great idea to start but I am a bit concerned that it would just change the image I have as a child of what Boy Meets World used to be. What do you guys think?! Is this a great idea or a bad idea?
