I Stand.

Four local students, otherwise known as "NDSU Bison Inc." are participating in a competition by the name of Bateman. Within Bateman, NDSU Bison Inc. were assigned the topic of childhood bullying and set a main goal to raise awareness about bullying. Throughout the month of February, NDSU Bison Inc. will be partnering with the DGF school district in an anti-bullying campaign titled, "I Stand." The main goal of this campaign is to target the bystanders of bullying and for stories to be heard. NDSU Bison Inc. is doing this by keeping a positive image of the situation instead of targeting the bully directly.

What can you do to help?

Like them on Facebook. Within the first few days of the I Stand campaign, the I Stand Facebook page had over 260 likes, reaching over 3,000 people.

Here is how NDSU Bison Inc. is raising awareness about bullying...

• created a kickoff video
• Gave a presentation addressing their goals for the month
• Asked students to sign an "I Stand" pledge
• Students that chose to sign the pledge were given an "I Stand" button to wear
• Promoting students to stand up to bullying by doing random acts of kindness
• Sent out a parent/teacher newsletter for their website
