Lady Gaga Forced To Cancel Tour

Lady Gaga tweeted Tuesday evening, “I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now,over the past month it has worsened. I’ve been praying it would heal…I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can’t”. Initially, she tweeted that four shows would be postponed; now, it seems, the remainder of the tour will be canceled for the time being. Refunds will be offered to fans who have already purchased tickets.

Reportedly, the initial diagnosis was that Gaga was suffering from synovitis (or joint inflammation); yesterday, though, tests indicated that she had a labral tear in her right hip, which will mandate that she take time off from the heavy dancing and singing of her tour. She hasn’t tweeted since her first announcement Tuesday night.
